Paradise LeisureScapes
Paradise LeisureScapes started in 1970 as a swimming pool company specializing in new pool construction before transitioning into a business focussed on total backyard living solutions. In 2002, they opened Canada’s first LeisureScapes Backyard Living Superstore, an 18,000 square foot facility designed with decades of leisure industry experience.
The Challenge
Paradise LeisureScapes went through a store transformation in 2021. They completely gutted their Regina showroom and updated everything – they even polished the concrete floor and painted the ceiling. After celebrating 50 years in business the previous year, they wanted to permanently mark this milestone. Kelly, the owner of Paradise LeisureScapes, had an idea of displaying a timeline of their incredible history on a wall that staff and customers would see every time they entered the store.
The Thinking
The Paradise LeisureScapes team had boxes of old photographs, brochures, and newspaper clippings as well as a timeline of memorable events from the past 50 years they wanted on the wall. Our team at Adeptus started a trusty Pinterest board and began sourcing installation ideas while collaborating with our partner, Creative Display, on finding material options and scoping out costs. We culled images from archives and worked directly with Kelly to choose the best images for the wall.
The Result
After laying out all the graphics, images, and text, we knew exactly what the wall would look like. We chose modern, clean materials for the wall that created texture and added visual interest to the newly renovated store. After a successful installation, the Paradise LeisureScapes “History Of” Wall is not only an excellent reminder to customers that they’re in experienced, capable hands, but it’s also a piece of pride for the incredible staff and a brilliant tribute to a business that has been running strong since 1970.
