Prairie Clean Energy Flax Straw Investment Campaign
Prairie Clean Energy
Prairie Clean Energy (PCE) buys flax straw from farmers and processes it for high-value products – fibre and pellets – in the bioeconomy.
The Challenge
PCE was primed for growth. With thousands of acres of flax straw under contract, long-term sales agreements in place, and patent applications underway, PCE was ready to enter their next company phase and raise the necessary funds to buy the equipment for a flax straw processing facility in an existing Saskatchewan building.
But before entering their next phase, PCE needed to complete their fundraising round.
The Thinking
Adeptus worked with the PCE team on the overall investor strategy. The strategy we came up with was multi-faceted. Our team:
Developed a landing page and email list used in segmented email campaigns
Built pitch decks and provided coaching on pitching
Created strong paid social campaigns
Wrote and purchased radio spots
Produced a five-minute video telling the PCE story
Leveraged unpaid media
Sent small packs of PCE pellets to potential investors
Hosted in-person events
Produced virtual presentations with IKS Media
Additionally, PCE wanted to utilize a crowdfunding platform to raise investment. This was an important piece to them. We had to make this work, and we did. Very well.
PCE’s mission of building towards a sustainable future while also providing additional income to farmers on the prairies became the campaign’s backbone. We used high quality marketing materials to tell this story to as many people as possible.
The Result
Our team created a meticulous, comprehensive campaign that reached people in diverse ways. We helped PCE share their story and let the world know about the incredible things they’re doing.
The campaign was a roaring success. With brilliant, image-rich marketing assets and a clear strategy, PCE welcomed numerous new investors and exceeded their fundraising goal.
